Alpen Monocular products are a treat for the sporting enthusiasts as they are well designed in quality and are yet made affordable. It was during 1997 the beginning of the brand and soon it comes to the forefront of the market with over 70 models in the optical segment. Alpen monoculars are designed with uniform colour and they are similar with its Roof prism construction. The magnification and the objective lens are variable.

Alpen monoculars come either with 8x or 10x magnification and the objective lens diameter starts from 21mm and go up to 32mm. Few of its models gives a relatively long eye relief that comforts even those with the correction glasses. The lens of the same is fully multicoated while few basic models are just coated. The prism material of these monoculars is either with BAK4 type or BAK7 type. With the eyepiece focus system and the compact structure gives it a light weight construction. Provided with these models are neck strap of standard type for few while few others are provided with the nylon neck straps. However all of them are privileged with the nylon carry case. Some of them are available with the eyepiece diopter design and the eyecups are fold down type.
